CRAZY RAINBOW LODGE
Destination Overview
With great dry fly fishing and fantastic scenery, the Miracle Mile really has it all. Smashed between two huge reservoirs, Pathfinder and Seminoe, this tailwater looks and fly fishes much like a great western free-stone river. Depending upon Pathfinder Reservoir levels, fly fishing float trips range between 5 and 12 miles.
The “Miracle Mile” coined by famous broadcaster Curt Gowdy on the American Sportsman consists of fast rapid white water coming out of Kortes Dam and the beautiful Miracle Mile Canyon in the upper section which gradually gives way to slower water on the lower section, both full of big trout.

Fishing Program
The Grey Reef and Miracle Mile tail water sections of the North Platte River arguably the best fly fishing in Wyoming right out their back door. Their trout pictures speak for themselves about Wyoming trout size, abundance, and their guides experience level.
The Grey Reef is where western fly fishing comes to life. If you’re picturing the classic western fly fishing experience and open skies from horizon to horizon, as well as big, wild trout, and plenty of solitude, then the Grey Reef won’t disappoint.
Tailwaters make for the ideal trout habitat. The entire North Platte, from Grey Reef to 70 miles downstream, is first and foremost a trout fishery. The Reef is managed with flushing flows and fishing restrictions in order to produce a thriving trout population, as well as some of the best trout fishing in the lower US.
