Two Boys Inn bone fishing lodge invites you to come stalk the monster bonefish of Andros Island, Bahamas from the cozy comforts of our island guest house — ideally located at the mouth of Cargill Creek on Behring Point.

 

Your hosts are renowned Andros Island Bahamas bonefishing guide Captain Frankie Neymour and his wife Melinda. By keeping things on a simpler and more intimate scale, Two Boys Inn offers an unbeatable value on world-class Bahamas bonefishing in the legendary North and Middle Bites of Andros Island… “Big Bone Capital of the Bahamas.”

Come join us for an adventurous trip to the Bahamas for big bones, conch fritters, and Kalik beer. Our Montana outfitter Ed Lawrence will be leading 10 anglers to Two Boys Inn for the week of October 21-28, 2022.

Beginning November 14, 2020, all visitors entering The Bahamas will be required to opt into the Health Insurance coverage when applying for their Bahamas Health Visa. The COVID Health Insurance will cover visitors for the duration of their stay in the event they become ill with COVID-19 while in The Bahamas.

Fishing Program 

This is where it all began… On the prime Bahamas bonefishing grounds of Andros Island’s North and Middle Bites between Behring Point, Moxey Town and the West Side – where legendary guides like “Crazy Charlie” Smith, Rupert Leadon, and Frankie’s late uncle Ivan Neymour pioneered the art of fly fishing for bonefish.

​

There are endless flats for poling and hard-bottom flats for excellent wade fishing opportunities. The fish here average 4 pounds and up! Nearly every day presents shots at double-digit bones – and at these prices, you’ll be coming back for shot after shot at your next trophy.

​

The remarkable value of this trip is partly due to the incredible hardships inflicted by the Covid pandemic, and by some lingering worries about the hurricane of two years ago, even though it did not affect Andros at all.

 

The only positives of all these problems are that the fish have been barely molested for quite some time, and that all the Bahamian bonefishing operations really need the support of American flyfishers.

​

Big fish, big flies: #2 to #6 hooks; tan, brown, pink and chartreuse in Clouser, Charlie, Gotcha, Shrimp and Crab patterns. Bring plenty of bead chain and lead eye flies to get down fast on the deeper flats, some lighter ones for tailing fish on the shallower wading flats. 10 to 15# tippet; 7 wt. to 10 wt. rods (a 9 wt. is ideal); 10-12 wt. for tarpon.

Accommodations

This trip is an opportunity not to be missed. This lodge is a not fancy, but it is clean and comfortable, and we should have it to ourselves. It is also located right on the flats holding the biggest bonefish in the Bahamas, possible the world.

The other lodges in this area cost about twice as much, yet Captain Frankie Neymour and his team have an outstanding reputation as guides and raconteurs. His wife Melinda, who runs the inn, is equally famous for her charming hospitality and delicious local cuisine.

​

Each morning, Melinda prepares a full, made-to-order breakfast while you assemble your own lunch from a generous selection of cold cuts, fresh fruits, snacks, and beverages. At day’s end you’ll be treated to happy hour appetizers followed by Melinda and Frankie’s authentic Bahamian home cooking.

 

Specialties include Melinda’s homemade soups and chowders, cracked conch, grilled crawfish, pan-seared wahoo, steamed grouper or a tangy chicken BBQ…topped off with a delectable dessert.

​

Two Boys Inn can accommodate up to twelve anglers in four air-conditioned rooms featuring two queen beds and private bath.

 

Meals are served “family style” in the dining room and bar where guests, guides and locals gather over ice cold Kaliks and hot conch fritters to share some easy island camaraderie and trade tales of the day’s adventures.

Getting There

Fly into Andros Town/Fresh Creek, clear customs, and you’ll be met by a friendly taxi driver ready to whisk you to Behring Point (approx. 30 minutes and $75 each way for up to 6 passengers).

​

Time permitting, you might have to rig a rod and head straight for the flats where the double-digit bones of Andros Island await! You’ll launch right from the Inn’s private dock, just in from the ocean on Cargill Creek, and just minutes from the fishing.
